Hydra Restore ("we", "us") provides exterior cleaning services across Leeds and West Yorkshire. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. It applies to hydrarestore.co.uk and to enquiries made by phone, email and WhatsApp.

Information we collect

When you ask for a quote we collect what you give us:

• Your name, phone number, email address and postcode from the quote form, and your business name if the enquiry is for business premises
• The service you are interested in and anything you write in a message, email or WhatsApp
• Photographs of the area you want cleaning, if you send them, and your property address once we quote or book a job
• The page of the website the enquiry was sent from

When you visit the website, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site secure and running, and is not used to identify you.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
• To arrange, carry out and invoice the work
• To keep a record of jobs we have completed, including before and after photographs of the surface cleaned
• To keep the website secure and to fix problems with it
• To meet our legal and tax obligations

We do not sell your details and we do not add you to a marketing list. We only contact you about your enquiry or your job.

Photographs of completed work may appear on this website or on our social media. They show the surface, not people, number plates or house numbers, and we will not use a photograph of your property if you ask us not to.

Legal basis for processing

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation we rely on:

• Contract: handling your enquiry and carrying out the work you ask for
• Legitimate interests: keeping records of our work, keeping the website secure and responding to questions
• Legal obligation: keeping accounting records for as long as the law requires

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They only process your information on our instructions:

• Web3Forms delivers the quote form to our inbox
• Cloudflare hosts this website and records the technical visit information described above
• Namecheap Private Email hosts our email
• WhatsApp (Meta) carries any messages you choose to send us on WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy

We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics on it. If that changes, this section will be updated to say what is used and why. Links to Google reviews, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp take you to those services, which set their own cookies.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become a job are deleted within 12 months
• Records of completed jobs, including quotes and invoices, are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting rules
• Technical website logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period and then deleted

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] or call 07539 374 375 and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, the quote form is delivered to our inbox by an encrypted connection and access to our email and records is password protected. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
